How Twain's AI-driven B2B outreach works — research, integrations, pricing, and how it's different from templates.
About Twain
What is Twain?
Twain is the world's most accurate deep research for GTM Agents and relevant B2B outreach. We replace generic templates and complex “prompt engineering” with deep, real-time research to generate unique, 1:1 multi-channel sequences that scale without compromising deliverability or brand reputation.
What is a GTM agent?
A GTM (go-to-market) agent is an AI system that handles a specific part of the sales or marketing process autonomously, at scale. In outreach, a GTM agent researches prospects, writes personalized messages, and routes them to the right channel, replacing the manual work a rep would normally do. Twain lets you configure and run GTM agents tuned to your product, ICP, and voice.
How is AI outreach different from using templates?
Templates send the same message to everyone with a few variable swaps (first name, company). AI outreach runs real research on each lead (their role, company signals, recent news, pain points) and writes a message from scratch based on what it finds. The result is a sequence that reads like it was written by someone who actually did their homework.
How it works
How does AI research leads for B2B outreach?
For every lead, Twain runs a research pass across the web, pulling in LinkedIn data, company signals, buying intent, and CRM context. It builds a structured profile before writing a single message, so every sequence is grounded in real, cited insights rather than guesswork.
Does Twain write AND send my emails?
Twain researches and writes. Your existing sequencer (Lemlist, Smartlead, Instantly, and others) handles sending. You stay in full control of when and how messages go out.
Can I fully automate my outreach pipeline?
Yes. Twain Workflows connect a lead source (HubSpot, Apollo, Clay, or your own API) to Twain's research-and-write pipeline, with export straight into your sequencer. New leads flow in, get personalized messages, and land in your tool automatically with no manual review step.
Will AI-generated emails hurt my email deliverability?
No. Because Twain writes every message 1:1, there are no fingerprints for Google or Microsoft to pick up. The emails go out from your own domain and your own inbox. The main spam triggers are reaching out to invalid emails, an irrelevant offer, or blasting the same template too many times in a short window. Twain addresses all three: it flags invalid emails before you send, research ensures relevance, and every message is unique.
Integrations & API
What tools does Twain integrate with?
Twain integrates natively with Clay, HubSpot, Salesforce, Lemlist, Instantly, Smartlead, La Growth Machine, HeyReach, Apollo, Outreach, and Amplemarket. It also runs via API and MCP, so it connects to any tool in your stack.
Does Twain have an API?
Yes. Twain is API-first. You can run research agents, generate sequences, and add leads programmatically. API docs are at public.api.twain.ai/v2/docs. Twain also supports MCP, so you can drive it directly from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client.
How does Twain integrate with my CRM?
Twain syncs with HubSpot and Salesforce, pulling contacts in and writing research and custom variables back to the contact record, so your reps always have context without switching tools.
MCP
What is the Twain MCP server?
Twain's MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets AI assistants like Claude and Cursor drive Twain directly — an agent can research and write outreach without leaving your client. It exposes Twain's core actions as MCP tools and runs at mcp.api.twain.ai.
From your MCP client you can:
- Create agents and campaigns from a website and your ICP
- Generate personalized sequences and sales research for a contact
- Bulk-import contacts and add them to workflows for automated processing
- List and inspect your agents, campaigns, and workflows
- Check your remaining credits
How do I connect my MCP client (Claude, Cursor, …) to Twain?
Point your MCP client at mcp.api.twain.ai and authenticate with your Twain API key — the same key you use for the public API — sent in the X-Api-Key header (or sign in with OAuth). Add this server entry to your client's MCP config:
